Tips for wearing Plaid: 

Do mix a more masculine plaid with extra fem items like pearls or silk.

Don't wear head to toe plaid and act like you are the unofficial spokesperson for Burberry.

Do wear plaid with denim ( or any neutral color) Ultra Classic. 

Don't rock a plaid mini - way to Catholic School Girl. 

Do wear oversized plaid shirts belted as jackets. 

Don't wear red and white gingham (or anything else that looks like a tablecloth). It's just not cool.
