Green Village

Green Village.

Green Village, founded by jewelry designer John Hardy and designed by his daughter Elora, is a community of sustainable and ecological houses sitting along the Ayung River in Bali. Each of the homes are made entirely of bamboo, from Bali-based bamboo and construction company Ibuku, from the window frames to the staircase, tables, chairs, floors, and even the cabinets and the walls. Truly breathtaking.

Bags are packed. Who's with me?

Follow Me To

Follow Me To

Photographer Murad Osmann creatively documents his travels around the world with his girlfriend, Natalia Zakharova, leading the way in his ongoing series known as Follow Me To. Chronicling his adventures on instagram, the Russian photographer composes each shot in a similar fashion. We see each landscape from the photographer’s point of view with his extended hand holding onto his girlfriend’s in front of him.
With her back turned, never revealing her face to the camera, Osmann’s girlfriend guides us all on a journey across the globe to some of the most beautiful, exotic, and radiant environments. There are also comforting and familiar settings mixed in for good measure. Whether the couple is spending a romantic night in Moscow, having an exotic adventure in Asia, or simply going bowling, Osmann keeps a visual record of their escapades as he trails behind his beloved.
AMAZING! Follow him on Instagram now.

Island Bar, Cockatoo Island.

Island Bar, Cockatoo Island.

What a perfect Sunday.... took a ferry out to Cockatoo Island and spent the arvo in the sun with great peeps, great drinks and great tunes. Thanks Island Bar for bringing a little Louisiana love to me.

If you haven't been to Cockatoo Island I highly recommend it.

Nusa Lembongan, Bali.

Nusa Lembongan, Bali.

I was lucky enough to spend an entire week on this little island paradise right off the coast of Bali. Waking up when the sun rises and going to sleep when the sun sets.... lots of time for reflection and the perfect way to spend the last week of 2012.

Now back to the main island to ring in 2013 in style. Hope yall all have a safe and happy New Year. xo

yours,
Juli
